5 Steps to Self Growth
Self growth both spiritually and personally is not a short term thing but will be an endeavor for your whole life. Personal development is something we are likely to find easier to do but developing our spiritual growth is of equal importance.
These are 5 steps I would like to share with you for self growth:
1. Don’t ever think you have all the knowledge.
We never know enough and during our lives we learn continually whether that be by experience or through others. Assume that you don’t know anything and base your self growth, especially spiritually on this.
2. Be optimistic but realistic
Positive thinking is a powerful thing but being realistic about what you can achieve is also important. Negative forces in our lives aren’t always bad as we can often learn from these. Try to look on the bright side of things and don’t dwell on the negative.
3. The natural world holds the key
You need to be connected both physically and spiritually with the natural world. Nature has the most powerful lessons we need to learn. Nature can bring joy and contentment in our lives as we connect with it.
4. Look after yourself
Treat your body with respect and look after it. when you neglect your body you lack energy and often self confidence in the way you look to other people. Good health will result from taking care of ourselves. Think of this as part of your self growth plan.
5. Have a strong purpose in life
Having a strong purpose will keep you motivated to achieve the goals in your life. We tend to concentrate on personal or physical goals but spiritually you need to have a central purpose too. Without a strong purpose it is more difficult to push through at times in your life that are difficult and without it self growth will stall.
