How to use Positive Affirmations

Positive affirmations are a great way to build your self esteem and positive people tend to achieve more and are happier as well.  Positive phrases and positive thoughts change your thinking patterns and your inner speak to create a new more confident you.

There are easy ways to make these positive affirmations or you can get them made for you.  Firstly, you need to know your standards to start with, who you are and what you want to achieve.

Before starting to write your positive phrases think of people who you think have high self esteem and note what qualities you think they have to make them feel this way.  This will help you write your own and think like a positive person yourself.

Your unconscious mind responds to positive phrases but make them specific and ones you believe you are, or can be.  It could be about being more outgoing, friendly, confident, assertive etc.  Make sure that they are achievable and action based as well.

Don’t use affirmations that are not achievable but do use ones you can work on to achieve in the short or long term.

Here are a few positive affirmations of my own:

I am assertive in my business dealings.
I am confident and relaxed with new people I meet.
I am loved and appreciated by my friends and family.
I love my body and am confident in following a healthy diet and exercise plan.

Note they are in the present tense and mostly have a specific action associated with them.

You need to practice your own positive affirmations every day.  Find a time and a place and keep to that.  It will become a habit in your daily routine over time.  With practice your subconscious mind accepts your positive phrases as reality.  This is not something you do for a month or a year but for a lifetime.
